The Voice UK it's on it's third season and everyone seems to be raving about how much better it is this year with new coaches and new presenters. I disagree. The Voice has changed, and not for the better. It's close to becoming the same drivel as X-Factor.

So firstly, it's forgetting the one thing that made the show stand out above all the other talent shows. It's supposed to be about The Voice! The judges seem to have forgotten this, and countless times turn their chairs and don't turn because of assumptions they make on what the appearance is going to be. I am sick of seeing those faces of Will.I.Am, Kylie, Tom & Ricky as they looked so surprised that something could look like they do and produce such a great voice. It also makes their excuses of why they didn't turn pathetic and frustrating. What contestant wants to hear 'I should've turned but I didn't.' They judges need to just listen and not think about the looks, otherwise go to X-Factor where you can see what you're listening to.

The second thing is, what happened to the great advice and nurturing that the judges used to give? Jessie J was the best at giving actual singing advice, such as pronunciation or working on a falsetto. Tom now very rarely mentions these and what was great about the show was when the contestants were told on specifics on what to improve on. This also applies to the judges pitches. They used to talk about ideas they could use to work on improving the contestant as an artist, but all that's gone. They're not going to grow if they're just told 'it was good, but not good enough for me' without a reason. The show needs that intellectual response from the judges to keep its personality of caring for the contestants.

Which is another thing, I am hearing way to much of what's on my team. I get that it's a competition and they want to win, but a great voice should be turned for no matter who else you have on your team.  It's an awful excuse and a wasted opportunity if someone is genuinely brilliant but Ricky already has a hip-hop artist…

And does Ricky actually have a mind of his own? I do like the new judges, but it does seem that the majority of the time Ricky only turns because the others are turning. Grow some balls and turn based on your own opinion man!

So overall, I don't think it's any better, if anything it's got worse. The producers are trying to edit Will & Ricky's banter to be the same as Will & Danny, and it's getting a bit lame. The reason people talked of the voice was because of how different it was to other shows. Now it's becoming so much more similar, it's becoming the same old same old.

And finally… Marvyn… As a presenter… Really?
